Katie, Class of 2010

Here is sweet little Katie. She and her friends were a blast and her little sis was the cutest thing. The old bus in this first one is at the old home place of a friend. They all seemed to have fond memories there.

Now how funny is this...

Christina and Aaron Wedding

I have to say, this was a beautiful wedding. They had both a Unity Candle and took their first Communion together as part of the ceremony. There was great music, great food and two very loving families. The ceremony was held at Trinity Free Will Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Simply Yours Wedding & Etc was a blast to work with as well.

The cake is from Homestyle Bakery (the gumpaste flowers were special ordered from SugarBakers of Knoxville, Tennessee)

I liked the soft candle light in the background.

This is Christina's little niece and one of the flower girls....Bless her!!!

These three were sooo funny. All they had to do was see the camera...

Congrats to Christina and Aaron, who will reside in Texas. I am so pleased I was able to work with them. And seriously, could they be any cuter!!

Simply Yours Weddings & Etc.

I just can't say enough about Emily Humphries. She was Christina and Aaron's wedding coordinator and let me tell ya, she did an amazing job!! She did the flowers, decorations, tables and center pieces and kept us all on schedule. Where she gets her energy??? No one knows, but she has an endless supply. She took loads of stress off everyone, including me. :-) If you are looking for a wedding planner, look no further than Emily!!! Check out her blog..

Roaming Around Tennessee

Michael had to do some work in Spring City, so I decided to head out with him. We had a great day just driving around seeing what there was to see. It made for a very relaxing day!! I'm already mapping out our next drive....

The first 2 were taken at York Grist Mill in Pall Mall. It is on Hwy 127. Beautiful park and the old grist mill is still there. Great place for a pinic and there was several people there fishing.

On down from the grist mill was York's home and where he is buried. There is a little trail beside the church. You cross a suspension bridge and the trail leads to the back of his home. Again, very peaceful and kinda Mark Twainish...I kept waiting for someone to float down Wolf River on a log raft.

These were taken at Ozone Falls in Cumberland County. (Actually our first stop). Its just a short walk to the top of the falls. (Which is 110 ft. plunge to the bottom.)

Here is Michael getting way to close to the edge of the falls....

This is Ozone Creek that feeds the falls. It was worth the stop and the short hike.

I hope you enjoyed!! I'm working on Christina and Aaron's wedding pictures now. Will get some of those posted soon.

Habitat for Humanity

These were taken at Valerie's house dedication this past weekend. Valerie and her girls, Victoria and Ashley are the sweetest. Valerie works, goes to school full time and is a wonderful mom. They should be able to move into their house soon. If you are looking for a place to volunteer your time, I urge you to consider Habitat for Humanity. Its such a great program. Valerie and other home owners work hard to help complete their house. All the volunteer work helps in making their mortgage payments more manageable.
You can check out Putnam County Habitat for Humanity online at:
http://www.pchabitat.org/

A church's children group makes the banners for Habitat...very cute!!

Every new homeowner receives a Bible from Habitat.

The "sample" was presented to Valerie from the Embroiderer's Guild, Iris Chapter and the gradening container from the Cookeville's Jr Women's club, Conservation Committee.

Jason Payne performed during the dedication and did a great job...very talented young man!!

This is Ashley

and Victoria.
There were so many people there to support Valerie and her family, it was such a blessing. I have to mention those people. I know the time and engery given to help this family made God smile on them!!!
