Habitat for Humanity

These were taken at Valerie's house dedication this past weekend. Valerie and her girls, Victoria and Ashley are the sweetest. Valerie works, goes to school full time and is a wonderful mom. They should be able to move into their house soon. If you are looking for a place to volunteer your time, I urge you to consider Habitat for Humanity. Its such a great program. Valerie and other home owners work hard to help complete their house. All the volunteer work helps in making their mortgage payments more manageable.
You can check out Putnam County Habitat for Humanity online at:
http://www.pchabitat.org/

A church's children group makes the banners for Habitat...very cute!!

Every new homeowner receives a Bible from Habitat.

The "sample" was presented to Valerie from the Embroiderer's Guild, Iris Chapter and the gradening container from the Cookeville's Jr Women's club, Conservation Committee.

Jason Payne performed during the dedication and did a great job...very talented young man!!

This is Ashley

and Victoria.
There were so many people there to support Valerie and her family, it was such a blessing. I have to mention those people. I know the time and engery given to help this family made God smile on them!!!
